It was a record-setting night for Taylor Swift at the 66th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, where not even a torrential downpour outside Crypto.com Arena could dampen spirits or slow Swift’s march to become the only artist to win Album Of The Year four times. Swift, who was honored for Midnights, also earned the trophy for Best Pop Vocal Album, giving her 14 Grammys in all. Oh, and Swift also used the occasion to announce that she would be dropping a new album, The Tortured Poets Department, in April.
Miley Cyrus also had a big evening, strutting off with Record Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Flowers,” which she also performed during the show. And Billie Eilish made her mark on the show with multiple wins, including Record Of The Year for “What Was I Made For?,” which she also performed on the broadcast.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Grammy Awards without a handful of emotional moments, and this show was no exception, including the first Grammy performance by Joni Mitchell, the debut of the first new song from Billy Joel in some 30 years, and a surprise appearance by Celine Dion to present Swift with her Album Of The Year trophy.
