Shōgun and Hacks win big at the 2024 TCA Awards

The annual Television Critics Association ceremony also handed out trophies to Baby Reindeer and John Mulaney

FX’s groundbreaking hit Shōgun is expected to nab several Emmy nominations next week, but it has already emerged as a winner at the Television Critics Association (TCA) Awards. The show scored top honors at the 40th annual ceremony, including the big one: Program of the Year. HBO’s Hacks came in second, sweeping the comedy category and beating The Bear entirely. (TV critics have good taste, what can we say?)

Meanwhile, Quiet On Set, ID’s explosive docuseries, replaced PBS’ Frontline in the Outstanding Achievement in News and Information, an award they’ve won for eight consecutive years. Here is the complete list of winners (in bold) as voted by the TCA membership of over 230 TV journalists across the U.S. and Canada.
